Drew McIntyre Removes WWE References From Twitter, ‘Blacks Out’ Profile

The situation between Drew McIntyre and WWE remains unpredictable and the latest developments leave fans with more questions than answers.

While we may have seen this before with other superstars such as Seth Rollins and Liv Morgan, Drew McIntyre has blackened out his Twitter profile picture and banner amid reports that his WWE contract is set to expire later this year. He also removed any references of WWE from his biography. PWInsider reported that McIntyre was not present at WWE SmackDown either of the past two weeks.

PWInsider also reported weeks ago that Drew and WWE were nowhere near close in negotiations for a new deal and Fightful Select added in that McIntyre is adamant on waiting until closer to the end of his current deal to sign anything new for various reasons. The report further states that his contract is up ‘sometime within the next nine months’.

WWE sources were confident that McIntyre would ultimately choose to stay with WWE and sign a new deal. McIntyre has not made an appearance for WWE since losing a triple-threat match at WrestleMania 39 in which he took the losing pinfall. He would later post to Twitter with three hand-waving emojis.

Wrestlezone will continue to monitor the situation and post any updates as they come in.
