Tasha Steelz Reflects On Her Hiatus From IMPACT Wrestling

Tasha Steelz discusses her hiatus from IMPACT Wrestling.

The former IMPACT Knockouts World Champion signed a new deal with IMPACT in November 2022, but she went on a brief hiatus in January. She returned to the company at IMPACT Sacrifice in March.

Speaking with Steve Fall for WrestlingNewsCo, Steelz was asked about the reasoning for her hiatus, and she noted that she likes to make people question what she does, so she never fully reveals everything.

“I love a good speculating. I don’t think people do that nowadays. A lot of people, they predict as to what you’re gonna do next, and that’s the thing, like social media and trolls, they always predict what you’re gonna do next. I like to keep people questioning what I do. I never just leave it all out there. I like for them to question.

Steelz continued by noting that she asked for time off because she had to find herself. She recalled how reality “struck” and told her that she had to work on some things. Steelz also expressed her gratitude for the way everyone in IMPACT stood behind her while she took steps to get better.

“At the time, after I did my new deal and I did ask for time off, I had to just step back and find Tasha Steelz because of me losing the championship, and I felt like I was at the top of my game, but reality struck, and reality basically told me, ‘No, you’re not, and there’s some things you need to work on, there’s some things you need to do,'” Steelz said. “That’s with everybody. That’s not just with me. Everybody has that moment. So I had to just really step back and just really work on being a better Tasha Steelz for not just myself, but everyone who supported me, including everyone in that locker room in IMPACT and management and the girls and the guys. They all stood behind me during that time.

“I did what I did, and I found myself, and I got better, and things have just been great so far, and I made my return in Windsor, saved my girl. She was getting jumped but I was like, ‘Hell no, Team Adams all the way, through and through.’ Came in, saved my girl, and we had a great moment, and Tasha Steelz is back, and more Flava at it very, very soon.
