Ronda Rousey Announced For ‘Stars On Mars’ Competition Series

Ronda Rousey will compete in a new competition series.

Denise Petski of Deadline reports that Rousey is among the 12 celebrities who will compete on FOX’s “Stars on Mars” unscripted competition series. The lineup also includes Lance Armstrong, Natasha Leggero, Marshawn Lynch, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Adam Rippon, Tom Schwartz, Richard Sherman, Tinashe, Porsha Williams Guobadia, Tallulah Willis, and Ariel Winter.

Per Petski, the show will “see the crew members live, eat, sleep, strategize, and bond with each other in the same space station.” William Shatner will serve as Mission Control, and the competitors will deal with conditions that will simulate life on Mars.

Rousey and the others will strive to “outlast the competition and claim the title of brightest star in the galaxy.” The competition will center around missions involving the celebrities, who will vote to eliminate a member of the crew every week.

In the report, Petski notes that “Stars on Mars”, which was created by Chris Culvenor of Eureka Productions, is produced by Eureka Productions, a Fremantle company. Paul Franklin, Wes Dening and Eden Gaha serve as executive producers. Charles Wachter serves as executive producer and showrunner. “Stars on Mars” will premiere Monday, June 5, on FOX.

Rousey has been absent from WWE since she and Shayna Baszler won the Women’s WrestleMania Showcase match at WrestleMania 39. She and Baszler were selected by WWE RAW in the 2023 WWE Draft.
