Amanda Nunes Comments On Potentially Coming To WWE: ‘Why Not?’

UFC Women’s Featherweight and Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes isn’t ruling out potentially coming to WWE one day.

A number of UFC stars have successfully made the jump into the WWE Universe. UFC Hall of Famer Ronda Rousey is a leading example, as she is a multi-time champion. She and fellow former UFC fighter Shayna Baszler currently hold the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

In an interview with Ryan Glasspiegel of the New York Post, when asked whether she’d consider coming to WWE after her MMA career is over, Nunes expressed her openness to the possibility, as long as the contract was right.

“It depends on the contract, you know? If the contract is amazing, why not?” Nunes said. “What I wanted to do in MMA, I did already — even more than I thought in my head when I went through my whole career.

“I became a double champion. I wanted only one — I had two … I’m so happy, and whatever comes after I’m done with UFC, we’ll see. For sure you guys will see me around, anyways.”

The wrestling world continues to buzz about the potential crossover between WWE and UFC, as the two companies will merge once Endeavor’s agreement to acquire WWE is complete later in 2023.
