Sean Waltman is reportedly on AEW‘s radar.
Billy Gunn recently said that AEW tried bringing Waltman in a few times, and his comments sparked speculation that the former DX stablemates could reunite in the company.
Nick Hausman of Haus of Wrestling reports that AEW has reached out to Waltman about working together, with the WWE Hall of Famer potentially working with Gunn. Specific details are unclear, but it was said that Waltman was not interested in doing a one-off appearance. However, he is in the process of getting into in-ring shape, and sources noted that they wouldn’t be surprised if he showed up in AEW.
Waltman returned to the ring for two GCW shows; he wrestled at GCW Welcome to Heartbreak and Joey Janela’s Spring Break 6 Part 1. He confirmed that he needed surgery on his torn bicep in March 2022, and he has not wrestled since.
