Baron Corbin learned his lesson the hard way.
In a tweet on June 18, Corbin responded to a post from the WWE Network, which shared that his Money in the Bank Ladder Match victory occurred on this day in 2017.
Corbin wrote that, when he watched WWE during his college days, he wondered why it took wrestlers so long to unhook the case. He then noted that when he had to do it himself, he realized that the chain makes the wrestlers sway, and they’re high up to begin with. Corbin stated that it was terrifying.
Corbin lost his Money in the Bank Qualifying Match on the June 9 episode of WWE SmackDown, so as of this writing, he is not set to compete in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match in 2023.
On the June 26 episode of WWE NXT, Corbin will challenge Carmelo Hayes for the NXT Championship. More information is available here.
