The WWE tag team duo of Pretty Deadly is quickly becoming one of the brightest duos in all of WWE. While they have plenty of future star opponents to face off against, the group recently revealed they would’ve loved to have gotten into a match against two legendary tag teams.
Speaking to PWMania.com in a recent interview, Pretty Deadly was asked about which tag teams they would have loved to face off against, if they could pick any. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the duo was quick to shout out the names of two of the more iconic WWE tag teams ever.
“Oh I mean some classics we’d love to have a match against, Edge and Christian, obviously,” said Elton Prince, one of half of the group. “We’d love to wrestle the Hardy Boys, the Brain Busters, (Kit: the Midnight Express), all of the classics.”
Kit Wilson then chimed in to note that, even though it seems like those matches might never take place, the beautiful and “crazy” thing about the WWE is that they just could happen sometime down the line.
“I mean that’s the crazy thing about WWE, right? Sometimes you think that’s an era gone by, but then before you know we get a surprise return and we get these dream kind of matchups so you don’t know where we’re gonna end up,” Wilson said. “You don’t know what’s gonna happen in five years time but we’re gonna get that dream match, we’re gonna get it.”
Currently, Pretty Deadly perform on the WWE SmackDown brand, with the former NXT Tag Team Champions and NXT UK Tag Team Champions most recently losing a shot at the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships in a match against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn on the June 30 episode of SmackDown.
