According to Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy has been sidelined due to a dislocated jaw.
Juice Robinson and Jay White attacked The Hardys on the June 21 episode of AEW Dynamite after the veterans lost to The Gunns. Robinson hit Jeff with a roll of quarters, and the latter hasn’t been seen since.
Speaking on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, Matt stated that Jeff suffered a dislocated jaw when he was hit with the coins, so he’ll be out for a few weeks. (H/t Robert DeFelice of Fightful for the transcription.)
“The roll of coins, it dislocated his jaw,” Hardy said. “They thought it might have been broken, but it was dislocated, so it’s only looking like a couple of weeks. So, yeah. It is what it is. It’s pro wrestling. It’s not ballet, as they say.”
Fightful Select recently reported that Jeff Hardy is unable to be enter Canada due to his arrests, so he has been temporarily taken off of television.
Matt last wrestled on the June 30 episode of AEW Rampage, where he and Brother Zay lost to Johnny TV and QT Marshall.
