Wheeler Yuta: Leyla Hirsch And Jamie Hayter Could Be Great Fits In Blackpool Combat Club

Wheeler Yuta has a few names he could see joining the ranks of the Blackpool Combat Club.

From The Elite, to the Dark Order, to House of Black, to the Jericho Appreciation Society, All Elite Wrestling has made itself a prime destination for pro wrestling factions. Over the last year, another dominant faction has emerged, the Blackpool Combat Club (BCC). As of this writing, the Blackpool Combat Club currently stands at four members — Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Bryan Danielson, and Wheeler Yuta. Although, a recent alliance with Konosuke Takeshita and Don Callis seems to have crowned a pair of two new unofficial members.

As the Blackpool Combat Club continues to carve their legacy, Scott Fishman for SE Scoops asked Wheeler Yuta if he had interest in expanding their group. While recruitment may not be open right now, Yuta did have a few possible additions in mind.

“Leyla Hirsch, Jamie Hayter could be great fits,” he said. “…It’s great we’re having [Konosuke] Takeshita fight alongside us. I’m not entirely sure if we would call him an official member. Being able to fight alongside him though has been awesome. Same with Shota Umino. Being able to fight alongside him and in New Japan Strong. There are great people to bring into the fold.”

Jamie Hayter, of course, is a former AEW Women’s World Champion. She’s also native to the United Kingdom, which will be the site for one of AEW’s major upcoming events — All In. Though the card is far from being announced, Wheeler Yuta already has an objective in mind.

“I would love to win my championship back from Shibata. I would like to win the [ROH] Pure Championship back there,” Yuta said. “That would be an awesome rematch to have. I just want to be on that show, to be honest.”

As Yuta alluded to, his ROH Pure Championship reign recently came to an end as Katsuyori Shibata defeated him for the title at ROH Supercard of Honor on March 31. Yuta has yet to receieve a rematch for the title.
