Zachary Wentz Appreciates Fans Sticking With Him, Shares Advice He Got From Gigi Dolin

Zachary Wentz is thankful for his support system.

After he spent more than a year off of television, Zachary Wentz is now back in IMPACT Wrestling. Wentz worked for IMPACT from 2018 through 2020 before signing with NXT where he worked as Nash Carter.

WWE released Wentz in April 2022 after his ex-wife Kimber Lee publicized allegations of abuse. His fans remained loyal on social media, however, with #JusticeForNashCarter trending each week. During a recent interview with Denise Salcedo, Wentz addressed the reactions he’s seen on social media since returning to IMPACT.

“If you look on social media, it’s been nothing but ‘yes!’ and ‘expletive yes!’ [responses]. And not only for me was it fulfilling, I feel like [it was] to them as well,” Wentz said. “During this whole time, there was a hashtag going around in support of myself. A lot of these people, they tweeted every single week non-stop, and I really appreciate them so much.”

Returning to IMPACT at the Atlanta tapings in June felt like a family reunion to the Rascalz member.

“It was just like a family reunion again, you know. There’s a lot of guys that I came up with that we were just young kids and we got our first starts at IMPACT together,” Wentz recalled. “Going in the back, I know Chris Bey, for example, like it just feels like the old days like you’re back with you’re family. It’s not like we didn’t see each other on the indies in this year-and-a-half time, and it’s not like we didn’t stop talking to each other. I still kept in communication with them, but just being there in the same place again, it’s just fulfilling.”

While Wentz was away from television figuring out his next steps, his girlfriend, WWE NXT star Gigi Dolin, was there to keep him motivated.

“The best advice I got was from my girlfriend Gigi Dolin. She just was constantly there for me. Even if I was starting to drop my head, she would pick my head up and say, ‘Hey, this is what you want. You have to keep the manifestation alive.’ If you get in the thoughts of, ‘Oh, this is going to happen, and this is going to happen, woe is me, boohoo,’ then that’s what’s going to happen in your life. So she just kept me on the right path mentally and spiritually.”
