Trinity Defines What A Legacy Is, Explains Why It Makes Her Think Of The Bloodline Saga

Trinity wants to make history and change the narrative just like her husband, Jimmy Uso.

Jimmy and Jey Uso main-evented WrestleMania 39 against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. The match marked the first time the tag team titles headlined WrestleMania.

Trinity was asked to describe what legacy means during the IMPACT Slammiversary Press Press. She brought up her husband, Jimmy Uso, and detailed the way he helped change the game by redefining tag team wrestling and headlining WrestleMania 39.

“When I think about legacy, I think about my husband and what he’s accomplishing and what he’s doing, and the way he has changed people, all of them together have changed people’s mind about tag team wrestling and what you can do with tag team wrestling,” Trinity said. “At one point, no one ever thought a tag team match would main event WrestleMania, but to me, that’s what creating a legacy is, when you completely are able to change the narrative and the course of history by how talented you are, by your work, by your contributions.”

A Better Path

Trinity wants to work to improve women’s wrestling and pave a better path for the wrestlers who come after her. She can’t do it herself, as it will take the entire division, but she’s confident in the IMPACT roster.

“[Wrestling is] still very male-dominated. I think as women we’re still fighting against proving ourselves and our worth and our value,” she said. “I hope that what I continue to contribute and fight for will change history and make it better. Make it more meaningful for the women to come in after me and have it better, get more time, get that respect. It does not have to be thought about twice, ‘Can these women main-event? Should they main event?’ and for things like that to become more of the norm.

“I know the only way you’ll get there is by proving it and putting in the hard work, to prove that it can be done. So that’s what I want my legacy to showcase, and that’s what I’m working towards. I can’t do it by myself. It’s gonna take all of us collectively,” she explained, “continuing to put on bangers and amazing matches and do great work, which I know I can do here at IMPACT, and we are doing.”

At IMPACT Slammiversary, Trinity will challenge Deonna Purrazzo for the IMPACT Knockouts World Championship. WrestleZone will have coverage of the show as it airs.
