MLW Fusion Results – July 13, 2023

This week’s episode of MLW Fusion kicked off with newly crowned MLW World Heavyweight Champion Alex Kane and Mr. Thomas taking part in a press conference following the MLW Never Say Never pay-per-view, which took place on Saturday night.

Alex Kane says he told everyone since day one that this was going to happen, even though some people didn’t believe him and the vibes were down. Kane says MLW kept stacking the deck against him, but he burned them all down.

Kane ran down his list of accomplishments that he’s achieved since joining Major League Wrestling. Kane says Alex Hammerstone is mad that he’s not getting respect from the young guys. Kane says Hammerstone hasn’t earned his respect. Kane says he took the keys by force by making him tap out. Kane says he made Hammerstone his bitch.

Kane says Hammerstone can come back for another challenge, but he’ll just do it to him again. Kane says it’s his house and empire now, and Bomaye Fight Club is going to take all the gold now in Major League Wrestling.

Delmi Exo is interviewed before her title defense and says she feels fantastic. She said she’ll defend the title tonight against Taya Valkyrie, and she’ll send her packing back to Jacksonville.

  • Delmi Exo applies the Fujiwara armbar on Taya Valkyrie to retain her championship via submission.

An MSL recap over the last week is shown with him turning on Microman last week on Fusion and aligning with Davey Boy Smith Jr., and just days later announcing Matt Caronda as the second-round pick of the MLW Open Draft.

Fusion replays highlights of Alex Kane’s MLW World Heavyweight Title win over Alex Hammerstone at Never Say Never and the reveal that Don King is the financial backer of The Bomaye Fight Club.

Court Bauer is asked about the Don King situation backstage and responds by saying they should’ve never done business with a crook like Don King before walking off.

O’Shay Edwards is announced as the third-round pick of the 2023 MLW Open Draft.

Ken Broadway defeated TJ Crawford

  • Ken Broadway hit the Travisplex on TJ Crawford to score the pinfall victory.

It’s announced that the 2023 Opera Cup will take place next week, and the brackets are as follows:

  • Davey Boy Smith Jr. vs. Calvin Tankman
  • Tracy Williams vs. Tony Deppen

Mance Warner joins the commentary table for the main event of the evening.

Willie Mack defeated John Hennigan (w/ Sam Adonis) and Lio Rush in a three-way to become the number one contender for the MLW World Heavyweight Championship

  • There was a miscommunication between John Hennigan and Sam Adonis, resulting in Willie Mack getting a rollup win on Hennigan.
