HEELS Star Alison Luff On AJ Lee: She’s A Freaking Rock Star

Alison Luff enjoyed her interactions with former WWE Superstar AJ Lee on the set of HEELS.

Heels star Alison Luff *recently sat down with WrestleZone’s Managing Editor Bill Pritchard. When asked if she got to work with AJ Mendez at all, Luff confirmed they worked together on some of the days when actual wrestling took place.

“Well, I did on ‘Dome Days,'” Alison Luff said. “So, dome days are what we call like the days where there’s a wrestling match, and they’re usually like the longest days on set. They’re really grueling and taxing for some people because just physically and mentally. But for me, they’re really, really fun because I get to sit there and watch my friends wrestle and watch all their hard work come into fruition.

“So, on [that] day, it was so cool watching her wrestle and just being off camera with her and hanging out with her and getting to know her. She’s so talented. She’s such a smart woman. And such an awesome businesswoman, too. She’s a freaking rock star.

“So, I got to work with her in that aspect. I’m trying to think if I really got to do any scene work with her, but other than the dome days that she was wrestling and Staci was watching or was there, but it was a real joy to watch her. I know I can speak for Kelli and say that she had so much fun working with her as well.”

When asked if there was any possibility of her character Staci Spade getting involved as a wrestler or a manager in the DWL, Luff said she could see her getting on the microphone and causing some trouble.

“I don’t know if I necessarily could see her wrestling,” Alison Luff said. “Because A, I don’t even know if Jack would want that either. That’s his thing, and I think she’s always respected that, but I could see her getting on the mic.

“I do think she is somebody who could stir the pot. I think she’d be really, really great in and really make a pop on the mic and stir some stuff up and then walk away. That’s kind of how I could see her getting in the ring, but who knows?”
