AEW Battle Of The Belts VII Results (7/15/23): Three Championships On The Line

AEW Battle of the Belts VII Results – July 15, 2023

AEW Battle of the Belts VII kicks off with Ricky Starks still celebrating his Owen Hart Cup win, ripping the trophy out of Jushin Thunder Liger’s hands on the stage in a very heel move as he heads backstage with the trophy.

Orange Cassidy defeated Lance Archer (w/ Jake Roberts) to retain the AEW International Championship

  • Orange Cassidy retains his title by count out, hitting Lance Archer with a punch off the apron right before the count of ten.

Tony Schiavone is in the ring and introduces The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn. Max Caster says he heard that QTV has been talking a lot of shit and called their content very original in a very sarcastic tone. Caster accepts QTV’s challenge for a trios match next week on AEW Rampage.

Anthony Bowens announces that The Acclaimed get another shot at The House of Black on AEW Collision next week for the AEW Trios Titles.

Toni Storm (w/ Ruby Soho) defeated Taya Valkyrie to retain the AEW Women’s World Championship

  • Ruby Soho gets on the apron and attacks Taya Valkyrie with the referee’s back turn, which led to Toni Storm hitting Storm Zero to pick up the victory via pinfall.

There was a satellite power outage for the live feed, and the finish of Toni Storm and Taya Valkyrie wasn’t seen by the viewing audience. Instead of telling us who won, they take us to the Owen Hart Cup trophy ceremony on stage for Willow Nightingale and Ricky Starks.

Martha Hart comes out to give a passionate speech and presents Nightingale and Starks with the Owen Hart Championship titles. You can check out the presentation in the embedded tweet below.
