AEW Rampage Results (7/21/23): Royal Rampage, And More

All Elite Wrestling delivered an action-packed show with the July 21 episode of AEW Rampage.

As confirmed during the July 19 episode of AEW Dynamite, several stars will clash in the Royal Rampage battle royale. The winner will earn a shot at the TNT Championship at AEW All Out.

Elsewhere on the card, QTV (QT Marshall, Johnny TV, and Aaron Solo) will take on The Acclaimed and “Daddy Ass” Billy Gunn. Plus, Kris Statlander will defend the TBS Championship against Marina Shafir.

The results are as follows:

Match 1: Darby Allin wins Royal Rampage

AEW Rampage kicked off with the Royal Rampage Battle Royal, and it was long match from the very start. With 20 superstars competing in two different rings, it was a free-for-all brawl as soon as the bell rang. In the end, it was down to just Allin and Swerve Strickland left as the final two, with Allin clearly hobbled but still fighting off anything that Strickland tried to do.

For a moment, it looked like Swerve would come out on top, especially after Prince Nana appeared and attacked Darby with a skateboard from behind. Strickland then hit a powerbomb onto Darby on the wheels of the board, and threw him over.

However, Allin held on, and then avoided a big top rope stomp before getting back into the ring, while Strickland was outside of the ring. In the end, Darby risked it all and ran through the ropes to dive and tackle Strickland outside, which gave Allin the win and a shot at the TNT Championship at All Out.

Match 2: Billy “Daddy Ass” Gunn & The Acclaimed defeat Johnny TV, QT Marshall, and Aaron Solo via pinfall

In the second match of the night, The Acclaimed and Daddy Ass controlled most of the match. Early on, they got in some antics after clearing the ring, doing a bunch of scissoring with one another. Later in the match, they ended things with Caster hitting the mic drop on Solo, before Gunn made the pin and got the team the win.

Match 3: Kris Statlander defeats Marina Shafir via pinfall

In the final match of the night, Statlander made pretty short work of Shafir to retain her TBS Championship. After taking down Shafir early, Statlander nearly got upset when Shafir got in a few kicks, but Statlander quickly countered any moves before hitting preparing for her finisher.

Shafir managed to counter one Friday Night Fever attempt, but Statlander would eventually go on to hit one for the quick win.
