MLW Fusion Results – August 3, 2023
This week’s episode of MLW Fusion kicked off with an interview that took place earlier in the day backstage with Willie Mack. Mack says he’s coming down with chocolate thunder fever because he has a shot at the MLW World Heavyweight Championship. When asked how he feels about Alex Kane saying he’s not worthy of challenging for the title, Mack says Kane is talking out the side of his mouth.
Alex Kane interrupts the interview and calls him worthless and unworthy. Kane says Mack is a bitch ass ho. Mack responds with physicality and hits Kane with a right hand which drops the champ. Mack mounts him with punches as security rushes in to separate the two men.
MLW World Heavyweight Champion Alex Kane defeated Delirious
- Alex Kane hits a releasing suplex on Delirious to win the match via pinfall.
A video package recaps the story between MSL, Matt Cardona, Microman, and Mance Warner. It’s confirmed that Cardona’s match with Warner at Fury Road will be a Kiss My Foot match.
We hear from Matt Cardona, who says there’s no way he will kiss Mance Warner’s feet. But he feels bad for Warner because he knows how badly he needs this win, but it won’t come at his expense. Cardona says he’s not coming to MLW to pass the torch; he’s coming to light a new one and carry it high all by himself. Cardona says everything good is coming his way with MSL by his side, and it ain’t about Warner this time.
Back-to-back video packages played going over the history of Willie Mack and MLW World Women’s Featherweight Champion Delmi Exo.
Maki Itoh will make her MLW debut at Fury Road
B3CCA is shown backstage yelling at an MLW employee over the fact that she was supposed to have a match against Demli Exo tonight. B3CCA is informed that Exo is in Germany defending her WXW Championship instead.
It’s announced that B3CCA will face Maki Itoh at Fury Road, and the winner will receive a future title shot at Delmi Exo.
The sixth round of the 2023 MLW Open Draft is Ichiban.
Willie Mack, Jack Cartwheel, and Myzteziz defeated Genio Del Aire, Skalibur, and Dinamico
- Jack Cartwheel hits the Jackarrow on Dinamico to score the pinfall victory for his team.
The show ends somewhere in Mexico with The Calling attacking The Samoan SWAT Team as MLW Fusion goes off the air.
