WWE Announces Commentary Changes To RAW And SmackDown

The WWE commentary teams on RAW and SmackDown are shaking things up again, with Michael Cole front and center.

As first reported by Variety, new WWE commentary changes will take place starting August 7 on Monday Night RAW.

Monday Night RAW will now feature Michael Cole and Wade Barrett on commentary. The former SmackDown commentary team will be making the move to Monday nights.

Friday Night SmackDown will shift into a three-man booth as former RAW commentary duo Kevin Patrick and Corey Graves will join Michael Cole.

While several fans have taken issue with Kevin Patrick’s work on commentary in recent months, a source told Variety that WWE is high on Patrick. They believe that a pairing with a veteran like Michael Cole will benefit his growth as a commentator for the company.

These commentary changes were confirmed by WWE on their social media account this afternoon, posting the following tweet:

It’s likely that the typical premium live event pairing of Michael Cole and Corey Graves will continue tonight at SummerSlam.
