Jeff Jarrett: Fans Didn’t Like When I Threw Tortillas In Mexico, That Was Too Far

Jeff Jarrett names the moment he went too far.

“Double J” has been in the wrestling business for over three decades. At times, he has been one of the most hated heels in the wrestling world, and he has done plenty of dastardly things.

In an interview with Cultaholic, Jarrett was asked to describe a moment where he thought he went too far.

“Yes, Mexico. There was an era, about 2011, ‘12, ‘13, in that era, Karen, my wife, we would go down there,” Jeff Jarrett said. “So the King and the Queen of the Mountain, we were not fan-favorites. I just gotta say that she would look at me and go, ‘This is way too far. This has gone way too far.’

“They used to have security dress up a car, and it looked like I was leaving, and we would go out another car on the side of the building. So yeah, they didn’t like it when I threw tortillas at them. For whatever reason, they didn’t like that. Yes [I thought that was too far],” Jarrett said.

Jeff Jarrett On What Makes A Good Wrestling Faction

In the same interview, Jarrett was asked to share his thoughts on what makes a good wrestling faction. He emphasized the importance of chemistry and highlighted his current group in AEW.

“Chemistry. Without question,” He said. “I don’t think my current group right now you’d call us a faction, but it’s really a unique group. The fact that we haven’t been named yet on-camera I think kind of adds to the mystique. But Satnam, Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, Karen Jarrett, myself, you put it on paper, and you’re like, ‘Ah, I’m not sure that’s gonna click.’ But when you kind of see it in action, it clicks. So to me, it’s all out of real chemistry.”

Jarrett will face Jeff Hardy in a Texas Chainsaw Massacre Death Match on the August 16 episode of AEW Dynamite. More information is available here.
