Billy Corgan: ICP’s Violent J Wrote A Theme Song For NWA 75

Violent J is setting the stage for NWA 75 in a fitting way.

Billy Corgan spoke about the dynamic of getting Violent J of Insane Clown Posse involved in NWA 75. Corgan told Scott Fishman of TV Insider about their personal relationship and shared that Violent J also wrote a theme song for the event.

“We have a personal connection. J was dating someone who I worked with professionally. They unfortunately died recently. Laney Chantal. I didn’t know this at the time, but they had been dating for a while. We occasionally connected. J reached out to me on a private level,” Corgan explained. “He was mourning this person he loved. This idea hung out there, and then Vampiro came in to work with La Rebelión.

“We got to talking about the clowns, Brothers of Funstruction. Not only is Violent J going to be managing them, but he has done a theme song for them. It’s awesome. He did it on his own. ICP are self-starters with everything they do,” Corgan noted. “Their love for pro wrestling is well-documented. I’m excited to have him as part of the NWA. That’s what I love about the NWA. We are this open-source network.”

The Brothers of Funstruction (Yabo and Ruffo) and Violent J will appear at NWA 75. Their opponents have not been confirmed at this time. The two-night NWA 75 event will take place on August 26 and 27, 2023 at the Chase’s Khorassan Ballroom in St. Louis.

Violent J recently shared his side of the story as it pertains to linking up with NWA, and how his friend Vampiro helped move things along. Read more from Violent J about how he became an NWA fan here.
