Adam Cole: MJF Is Certainly A Locker Room Leader, He Leads By Example

Adam Cole highlights MJF and his skills as a leader.

AEW World Champion MJF and Adam Cole have been a tag team in recent months. The duo headlined AEW All In, where MJF defeated Cole to retain the AEW World Championship. At the same show, they beat Aussie Open to win the ROH World Tag Team Championship. Cole and MJF defeated Dark Order to retain the gold at AEW All Out.

At the AEW All Out post-show media scrum, Dominic DeAngelo of Inside The Ropes asked Cole and AEW CEO Tony Khan about whether MJF is becoming a leader backstage. In recent months, MJF has been more vocal on social media about certain issues, and Cole says that’s very clear in the locker room too.

“Oh yeah, Max is certainly a leader, Adam Cole said. “Max is someone who, again, he eats, sleeps, and breathes pro wrestling, for sure. He’s been in a position where he’s been with AEW from the very start. He loves AEW with his whole entire heart, and he’s so proud of the product that we produce. He’s very, very proud of the locker rooms.

“Generally, [MJF] is one of those guys who kind of leads by example. He’s someone that the entire locker room can look up to. [They can look to him] in a lot of ways, just based on how passionate he is about the company. And how passionate he is about wanting whatever he’s involved in to be the best that it possibly can be. So absolutely, I think he’s been an excellent leader.”
