The NXT Global Heritage Invitational continued on the September 5 episode of WWE NXT.
In B Block action, Nathan Frazer scored a decisive win over Duke Hudson. With the victory, Frazer moved into a tie for first place in B Block; he now has two points, as do Hudson and Joe Coffey.

Later in the show, in a Group A match, Butch faced Axiom in a heart-pounding match that delivered plenty of hard-hitting action. The bout concluded in a time-limit draw. Despite the draw, Butch leads the way in Group A.

The Global Heritage Invitational will continue on the September 8 episode of NXT Level Up, where Joe Coffey will face Akira Tozawa.
As previously announced, the NXT Global Heritage Invitational will crown the next contender for the NXT Heritage Cup. The winner of Group A will face the winner of Group B on the September 26 episode of WWE NXT. The winner of that match will take on NXT Heritage Cup Champion Dar at NXT No Mercy on September 30.
