Report: CM Punk Is Not Suing Tony Khan Following AEW Termination

CM Punk‘s departure from All Elite Wrestling won’t be followed by a lawsuit, at least on the former world champion’s behalf.

AEW terminated CM Punk’s contract on September 2. The move came after Punk was involved in a backstage confrontation with Jack Perry at AEW All In. The incident was investigated, and AEW decided to part ways with him.

Nick Hausman of Haus of Wrestling reports that, in asking around about CM Punk’s termination, he learned that he does not have any litigation pending against Tony Khan. Khan publicly said he felt like his life was in danger during the incident at AEW All In. However, Punk is seemingly looking to avoid legal action and move on.

Per Hausman, Punk was described as “breathing a sigh of relief” now that he is out of AEW. Since he returned to the company in June, he was seemingly surrounded by constant drama. The report also noted that it is unclear whether AEW or Khan have any pending legal action towards Punk.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
