Following his surprising return to SmackDown last week, rumors of The Rock appearing at WrestleMania 40 have only gotten hotter. According to WWE legend Hulk Hogan, it would be an unforgettable moment if he did.
Speaking with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated in a recent interview, Hogan was asked about The Rock’s appearance on SmackDown last week. While the moment was surprising, Hogan said that the presence the icon commanded wasn’t at all.
“The Rock, he’s one of a kind,” Hulk Hogan said. “He’s on another level. That was noticeable right away. But one part stood out to me–and I thought it was very clear. Rock still has wrestling in his blood.”
Hulk Hogan believes The Rock wrestling at WrestleMania 40 would be a big moment
When asked about the possibility of The Rock appearing at WrestleMania 40 to face off against Roman Reigns, Hulk said it would be “a moment for everyone” and something people wouldn’t forget.
“That would be a moment for everyone,” Hogan said. “Not everyone was around, not even a lot of today’s stars, for the first WrestleMania with Mr. T and Liberace. Or to see me and Andre The Giant at WrestleMania III. But if Rock comes back, people will never forget it. For all the people to see him come back, and see greatness right in front of us, it would be amazing. If The Rock comes back at WrestleMania, it will be a moment people will never forget.”
