NJPW Announces Hirooki Goto Sustained Injury, Taichi To Take Leave Of Absence

New Japan Pro-Wrestling announced that two stars will be absent from upcoming shows.

In a post on their website, NJPW announced that Hirooki Goto sustained an injury at NJPW Destruction in Kobe, and there is no timetable for his return. He will not be cleared for the September 25 and September 26 events.

Additionally, NJPW announced that Taichi has requested and been granted a leave of absence. He will miss events on the Road to Destruction tour.

Taichi lost the KOPW Provisional Championship to Taichi at NJPW Destruction in Kobe. There, Goto and YOSHI-HASHI retained the IWGP Tag Team Championship by defeating Shane Haste and Mikey Nicholls.

WrestleZone will monitor the situation and provide information as it becomes available.
