Last week on Rampage, former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega made a shocking return. What was even more surprising was the expensive shoes he was wearing.
For the past several weeks, Chris Jericho has been feuding with Don Callis and The Don Callis Family. This past week on AEW Dynamite Grand Slam, the Ocho wrestled Sammy Guevara for the first time in All Elite Wrestling.
After a hard-fought battle, Chris Jericho managed to clinch the victory. As The Ocho and the Spanish God hugged it out, Guevara turned on his mentor by kicking him below the belt. After that shocking betrayal, Don Callis walked out and he seemingly recruited the former TNT Champion.
On the following episode of AEW Rampage, Guevara, Don Callis, and Konosuke Takeshita were in the middle of the ring. The Spanish God claimed that only now he has understood what it means to truly have a family. Guevara also believed that Chris Jericho had been holding him back for the past four years.
As Guevara was talking, The Ocho had heard enough and decided to come out and get his frustrations out on the Don Callis Family. But the numbers game proved to be too much for him as he ended up getting beaten up.
It seemed like all hope was lost but Kenny Omega ran out to save Chris Jericho. The Cleaner showed up with an iron pipe and helped The Ocho. He also showed up wearing the expensive, “Red October” Nike Air Yeezy 2s. He took to Twitter to state that he came out wearing them just so he could show up very fast and in style to save the day.
Omega and Jericho will team up with Ibushi to wrestle the Don Callis Family at WrestleDream.
