Swerve Strickland hopes to see WWE Hall of Famer Edge join AEW.
Fans continue to speculate about Edge’s future, as the legend’s WWE contract was set to expire at the end of September, and he was reportedly expected to head to AEW. He was also recently removed from WWE’s internal miscellaneous roster.
Speaking with MuscleManMalcolm, AEW star Swerve Strickland was asked whether he wants to see Edge join AEW and potentially face him.
“Absolutely, without a doubt,” Swerve Strickland said. “I already tagged with his partner, his ex-partner, Christian. One of the biggest moments in that match for me, a lot of people don’t mention it. But one of the biggest moments was us doing the Double Spear. So that goes to show you how much that man means to me and my career.”
Fans will have to wait and see what Edge’s future holds, but he was recently removed from the opening video of WWE SmackDown.
Swerve Strickland will face “Hangman” Adam Page at AEW WrestleDream on October 1. WrestleZone will have coverage of the show as it airs.
