Don Callis has done it again.
At AEW WrestleDream, The Don Callis Family (Konosuke Takeshita, Sammy Guevara, and Will Ospreay) faced Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, and Chris Jericho. Omega and Jericho put their differences aside to fight Callis’ faction, which has been a thorn in the side of both men. The match also marked the reunion of The Golden Lovers in Ibushi and Omega.
The two trios battled it out and showcased their familiarity, as the competitors have been feuding with each other in multiple combinations. Takeshita dished out suplexes and blasted Omega with a knee strike. Guevara had a scary moment when he landed awkwardly on a shooting star press at ringside, but he was seemingly okay.
The match broke down in chaos, as Ospreay distracted referee Aubrey Edwards. Don Callis capitalized as he nailed Jericho with a bat. Guevara then pinned Jericho, his former mentor, to clinch the win.
Jericho previously beat Guevara on AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam. Takeshita has now beaten Omega at three consecutive pay-per-views.
