Cody Rhodes appeared on this week’s episode of NXT to deliver a major announcement, and he certainly did deliver on the hype.
Rhodes made three announcements in the opening of the show, including two tournaments coming to NXT.
Cody first announced a Men’s Breakout tournament that would commence once the Women’s Breakout Tournament had finished. Cody then confirmed the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic is coming back before making his final announcement. Cody announced he’s the special guest General Manager of NXT for the night!
Rhodes ended up booking Ilja Dragunov vs. Dominik Mysterio in the main event, and LA Knight will be the special guest referee of the match.
