Kevin Nash clears the air after some recent speculation that he signed with WWE.
Previously speaking on his Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash shared his thoughts on Jade Cargill signing with WWE. During the conversation, Nash said, “Unless it’s five or six million and a private jet. The only thing that would have got me to AEW, WWE just signed.” He was hypothetically speaking about Cargill. However, several outlets ran the quote out of context by saying that Nash stated he signed with WWE.
Speaking on the latest episode of Kliq This, Kevin Nash asked for the chance to clear the air. He made it abundantly clear that he had not signed with WWE.
“So last week, we were talking about the WWE’s acquisition of Jade Cargill. It was pretty clear we were doing a little bit,” Kevin Nash said. Sean threw a couple things back, and then Sean [Oliver] said, ‘So you wouldn’t go back to AEW? Or you wouldn’t go to AEW? I said yeah, maybe for five or six million dollars and a probate airplane. I said, ‘But the reason I was going to go just came and was signed by the WWE.’
“I didn’t say that I was signed. I didn’t say I got a new deal, I didn’t say any of that shit you stupid f—cking wrestling news people…number one, did somebody call you? You obviously didn’t listen to it because you would have known that I was talking about Jade, not about me. I haven’t signed sh*t. You couldn’t get me in a f—cking ring if you held me…you’d shoot me in the back of the head before I’d get into a f—cking ring.”
Nash also noted that he “blew a quad taking a step,” so he wouldn’t be getting in the ring at 64.
