Adam Copeland, Bryan Danielson, and Saraya all wrestled on the October 10 episode of AEW Dynamite.
All three wrestlers were previously forced into early retirements due to neck injuries. However, they have all returned to the ring. Copeland shared a picture of them standing in the ring together before AEW Dynamite on October 10.
Speaking with Jeff Adams for Sports Nightly, Bryan Danielson commented on the picture.
“It was just a cool realization because all three of us had matches on Tuesday. We were all in the ring before the show, warming up and that sort of thing,” Bryan Danielson said. “There was just this realization, I think it was Saraya who had it first, was that, hey, we’re all in the ring together, and we’ve all got matches tonight.
“This is surreal because we were all told at different points that we’d never wrestle again. I did say that between the three of us, you combine the three of our necks together, and I don’t think you even have one complete neck [laughs].”
Bryan Danielson: All Three Of Us Kept Fighting To Overcome The Odds
Bryan Danielson then noted that their returns to wrestling were a testament to the advancement of medical technologies. He stated that they also spoke to the perseverance of the trio. Danielson pointed out that their stories helped each other.
“But it is cool. It also is a testament to the advancement of medical technologies but also all three of us, we were told we shouldn’t do this anymore. We kept fighting through, and one thing feeds off another. When you hear somebody else has been able to come back, you think, ‘Okay, maybe I can come back,’ and that sort of thing. Those sort of reinforcement stories help us all.”
