Roman Reigns vs. LA Knight Confirmed For WWE Crown Jewel

YEAH! LA Knight is getting a shot at Roman Reigns at WWE Crown Jewel.

WWE credited the Los Angeles Times with breaking the news.

“His reward is here: Knight will compete against Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal title at the Crown Jewel premium live event at Mohammed Abdu Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Nov. 4, a source not authorized to speak publicly about the matchup exclusively told The Times. The event will air on Peacock at 10 a.m. PDT,” the LA Times‘ Houston Mitchell wrote.

LA Knight’s title match comes one week after he confronted Reigns on the October 13 episode of SmackDown. There, John Cena declared Knight had earned the right to face The Tribal Chief.

Other matches confirmed for the card include Seth Rollins defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre, and Rhea Ripley defending the WWE Women’s World Championship against Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, Zoey Stark and Raquel Rodriguez.

The match with LA Knight will be Roman Reigns’ fifth televised title defense of 2023. However, this is Knight’s first world title shot in WWE. This is also his first major world title program since he held the TNA Heavyweight Championship in 2017-18.

John Cena and LA Knight were victorious at WWE Fastlane. Following the event, the pair took part in a post-show press conference. Knight was asked if he could take a moment and enjoy the run he’s on without focusing on the future.

“It’s been such a climb. It’s been such a challenge to get right here and do what I did tonight, and do what I’ve done over the last year or so it’s been. So yeah, I’m always on the defense,” Knight explained, “for somebody to try and pull the rug out and I can stomp them out at some point. Because for me, it’s — some day…
