Report: Alex Shelley Misses IMPACT Turning Point Due To Injury

IMPACT World Champion Alex Shelley is dealing with an injury, according to a new report.

Alex Shelley was scheduled to compete at IMPACT Turning Point on October 17. There, he was set too team up with Chris Sabin to face Moose and Brian Myers.

Cultaholic reports that Frankie Kazarian replaced Shelley in the match, and no announcement was made in the building. Per sources, Shelley sustained a leg injury at the UK Invasion Tour taping on October 26. The report noted that Shelley was backstage at Turning Point, and he was said to be “really badly limping.”

There is no word on how long Shelley will be out of action and whether he will compete at the remaining two shows of the tour.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that sources described the injury as an “extremely pulled muscle in his calf.” Per Johnson, IMPACT sources noted that the company will monitor Shelley for the rest of the tour.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
