AEW Collision Results (10/28/23): MJF vs. Omega, Shida vs. Abadon And More

AEW Collision Results – October 28, 2023

Jay White def. AR Fox

  • White controlled the match early on but after commercial, Fox went on a comeback that included a couple of nearfalls. In the end, White pulled out a half and half followed by Blade Runner for the pinfall win.

Right after, MJF nearly stole back his AEW World title, but Bullet Club Gold helped White keep the belt in hand.

Backstage, The Acclaimed is counting down until National 69 Day, but Caster unfortunately was catfished by a 200-follower MJF account that he sent photos to.

The Gunns def. The Boys

  • Colten Gunn scored the pinfall win in less than 2 minutes. It’s also confirmed The Gunns will challenge MJF for the ROH World Tag Team titles on the Full Gear Zero Hour.

We see another preview of MJF vs. Omega.

Ryan Nemeth talks to Lexy Nair about trying to recruit CJ Perry as his manager. He knocks on her locker room door, but Miro opens it. He welcomes Nemeth in for a beating.

AEW Women’s World Championship: Hikaru Shida (c) def. Abadon

  • The ring is surrounded by Halloween decor and weapons as Shida wrestles in a red dress. In the end, Shida places a pumpkin on Abadon’s head and hits Katana for the pinfall victory to retain.

After the bout, Toni Storm runs out to steal the spotlight in black and white. She poses on the announce desk as Shida yells at her.

We see a new vignette for Keith Lee vs. Shane Taylor.

ROH World TV Championship: Samoa Joe (c) def. Rhett Titus

  • Joe puts Titus away in mere minutes with the Coquina Clutch. Joe is 5 days away from becoming the longest-reigning ROH TV Champ.

Renee Paquette interviews QTV backstage. Harley Cameron says they’re introducing their new song, “The Best Thing On TV.” QT says he’s been defending his AAA Latin American title all over the world. Now he’s going to defend against AEW’s best luchadors very soon.

Claudio Castagnoli says he will make Cassidy and Okada pay for what they did to Danielson on Dynamite. He’ll go to Japan to make Okada pay if he has to, while he’ll get his hands on Orange this Wednesday. Commentary says Danielson will be out until “later this year” with an orbital bone injury.

Ricky Starks def. Dax Harwood

  • House of Black appeared beforehand to watch the match from a distance. Harwood plants Starks with a Piledriver, but Big Bill helps Starks break the count. Back inside, Starks nails Harwood with his own Piledriver and Cash is unable to grab his foot.

The lights go out and Julia Hart appears on the ramp. House of Black surrounds Starks and Bill in the ring. LFI’s music hits and they march out. LFI stares down FTR initially until they turn and strike House of Black. A big brawl breaks out.

Lexy interviews Andrade about CJ Perry. He says it’s his business and nobody else’s.

Kris Statlander gathers Willow and Skye backstage again to talk about their issues stemming from the Rampage four-way. Willow says she feels the tension between her and Skye growing strong ever since they got misted. Skye says that anything she has to say to Julia Hart is between the two of them.

Claudio Castagnoli def. Tracy Williams quickly with Rainmakers and uppercuts to send a message.

AEW World Championship: MJF (c) def. Kenny Omega via pinfall to retain in a half-hour main event

  • Half way through the bout, Omega powerbombs MJF through a table outside the ring. MJF manages to land a poisonrana on Omega in return. In the closing minutes, Don Callis walks down the ramp to distract, but the ref ejects him out as Omega goes for One Winged Angel. MJF rolls him up out of it and they trade roll-ups. MJF’s Heatseeker gets a nearfall. He isn’t able to get Panama Sunrise and Omega stacks on top for the closest nearfall yet. MJF connects with Panama Sunrise on the second attempt. He lands another Heatseeker and pins Omega to retain.

After, Samoa Joe is shown watching the match from a monitor backstage, while Wardlow is also watching elsewhere backstage. Powerhouse Hobbs is shown third, followed by Bullet Club Gold. MJF extends a handshake and Omega accepts as they hug it out to end the show.
