Abadon Receives Praise From Todd McFarlane For Spawn Tribute

Abadon is one of the most unique and creepy characters in the world of pro wrestling. She has been one of the most terrifying female wrestlers of all time. She recently made a return to in-ring action. One of her recent looks was praised by famed comic book creator Todd McFarlane.

Abadon had been absent from AEW since June of this year. She suffered an injury during one of her matches and thus was sidelined. Before that, she had been regularly featured on All Elite Wrestling’s Dark and Dark Elevation tapings.

Recently, Abadon made an unexpected return to AEW at the most recent Rampage tapings. She was part of the women’s four-way match to determine the number one contender for Hikaru Shida’s AEW Women’s World Championship. The other three women in the match were Skye Blue, Anna Jay, and former NJPW Strong Women’s Champion Willow Nightingale.

All four stars put on a tough fight and in the end, Abadon managed to pin Anna Jay and earned a shot at the AEW Women’s Championship. The title match took place at the Collision event.

For the special title match, Abadon showed up by paying tribute to one of the infamous Image Comics characters Spawn. Abadon took to Twitter to mention that she wished the creator of Spawn, Todd McFarlane was proud of her.

Farlane took notice of the tribute and replied to Abadon by stating that it was awesome.

“This is AWESOME @abadon_AEW !!! TODD,” Todd McFarlane tweeted.
