Nick Aldis Feels X-Pac Never Got His Flowers For Bringing A Cool Factor To Wrestling

Recently, Triple H surprised the WWE Universe by announcing Nick Aldis as the new General Manager of WWE SmackDown. Since then, Aldis seems to have taken control fairly well.

For those who are unaware of who the new SmackDown General Manager is, he is a veteran in the professional wrestling industry. Aldis has wrestled in many promotions such as Ring of Honor, IMPACT Wrestling, NOAH, Rev Pro Wrestling, NWA, and many more. The English Wrestler is a two-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion. He’s also the husband of current IMPACT Wrestling star Mickie James.

Recently, Aldis was a special guest on the After The Bell podcast. During the episode, Aldis mentioned that he believed X-Pac was one of the coolest characters in the D-Generation-X faction. He believed that the WWE Hall of Famer never received the praise he deserved.

“You know who in my school who was considered the coolest wrestler? X-Pac. Everybody thought X-Pac was so cool, and if you think about it, he was because of the way he talks and his demeanor and everything. I never think that Sean Waltman really gets his flowers as far as how much of an impact he had on wrestling being cool,” Nick Aldis said. [H/T Wrestling Inc.]

The SmackDown General Manager also mentioned that he aims to be as cool and slick as WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart.

“I thought of Bret Hart like he’s cool, and girls like him, and he’s so slick, and he’s the best, and I want to be like that. He was cool. I remember sort of seeing Hogan and understanding that he was a huge star — and I don’t mean this as a slight — but he didn’t seem cool to me. Bret was cool.” [H/T Wrestling Inc.]

Do you agree with Aldis about X-Pac?
