More Details On Kairi Sane’s WWE Return

Sapp reported that, per sources, WWE wanted to make signing Sane a priority this year. It was brought up last year, when the company signed a number of talent, but the deal was not completed. The report also notes that there have been plans pitched for Sane’s return, which has not been kept a secret.

Sane previously signed with WWE in 2017, and she had a successful run in NXT. There, she won the NXT Women’s Championship. She moved to the main roster in 2019 and captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship with Asuka. Sane returned to Japan and started working with the company as an ambassador there. She then left WWE in December 2021.

During her time away from WWE, she became the inaugural IWGP Women’s Championship, and she also competed for STARDOM among other companies.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
