WWE NXT Viewership Rises Against NBA, NHL Playoffs On 5/7

WWE NXT faced some competition on May 7, but the viewership still increased.

Wrestlenomics (via Programming Insider) reports that NXT drew 659,000 viewers on Tuesday. This marks an increase from last week (564,000 viewers).

In the 18 to 40 demographic, NXT scored a 0.19 rating. This number is also up from last week (0.14 rating in the same demographic). NXT was up against the NBA and NHL playoffs on Tuesday. The Cavaliers vs. Celtics game on TNT averaged 2.946 million viewers and a 0.97 rating in the key demographic. The Rangers vs. Hurricanes game on ESPN averaged 1.930 million viewers and a 0.63 rating.

What Happened On This Week’s Episode Of WWE NXT?

The May 7 episode of WWE NXT kicked off with Wes Lee’s return to the ring, and he beat Josh Briggs.

Elsewhere on the show, Shayna Baszler defeated Karmen Petrovic, and Michi beat Arianna Grace. In the main event, Roxanne Perez defeated Chelsea Green to retain the NXT Women’s Championship. Plus, NXT Champion Trick Williams appeared on the Supernova Sessions.
