SmackDown Superstar Bobby Lashley was a recent guest on WWE After The Bell. When asked about her recent absence from the company before returning alongside The Street Profits in recent months, Lashley talked about how being left off WrestleMania 39 hit him really hard.
“Our businesses is very troubling at times,” Bobby Lashley admitted. “And it’s very stressful mentally because you want to know where you’re at. And if you’re talking about the last kind of break I took, I think a lot of things — the situation revolving WrestleMania kind of really, really hit me pretty hard.
“I put in a lot of work throughout the year and put myself on a certain level in the company, and I’ve kept that level up. I worked my ass off; I train hard all the time. Everybody knows that’s just me. And then, when that big show came around, I didn’t have a spot at WrestleMania. And I try to hold it in, and when you have your kids calling when you’re supposed to be there, and I’m there in Los Angeles, ready to go.

“The whole time, just thinking, call me in, coach. Call me, I’m that guy you need. Call me, and I’m ready. And then my kids, after the first day, call and say, ‘Dad, are you going to be on? Because if you’re gonna be on, we’ll fly out there, we want to see you and everything like that.’ Because they’ve been to everything that I was in.
“It was kind of a little bit of a mind trip to take a backseat at a time like that. So with coming back and looking at my career and some of the things that I did in my career, and I was like, what were the times I was the most successful? And those times were when I really didn’t care as much.”
