Montez Ford On Being Part Of WWE Tribute To The Troops: It Means Everything

A yearly tradition WWE follows is the Tribute to the Troops special event. In the past, it was a special event conducted exclusively for the real-life heroes of the United States of America, the U.S. Armed Forces. Now, fans can attend the taping, including the 2023 edition of the show.

Montez Ford recently shared his thoughts on being part of the event. The former Tag Team Champion recently spoke to Fox News. During the interview, he shared his thoughts on being able to take part in the annual tradition, Tribute to the Troops. Ford also is a U.S. Army veteran.

“This is another way of WWE extending our thank you to the service members, men and women, to thank them for their service, their due diligence (and) their sacrifice.

“It means everything, man. Without getting emotional, it’s just like the full circle of being in the shoes of a service member and also seeing the WWE extend their gratitude to myself. And now, being able to be on that platform to give back and to do the same thing the WWE did for me at the time. I think it’s the greatest privilege ever,” Montez Ford said.

Ford also shared the time he got to show up on an episode of Monday Night Raw when he was serving for the nation.

“I actually went to one of the WWE ‘RAWs’ while I was still in the service because they were allowing service members to get a free comped ticket. It’s always exciting. It’s always a great time of the year. It’s right before the holidays so it’s always a perfect setting to do this tribute around this time.”
