Logan Paul Comments On ‘Saving’ Rey Mysterio At WWE Crown Jewel

Logan Paul says he may have saved Rey Mysterio at WWE Crown Jewel, but he was just doing his job.

At WWE Crown Jewel, Logan Paul challenged Rey Mysterio for the WWE United States Championship. At one point in the match, Mysterio went for a springboard moonsault, and he nearly landed on his head, but Paul caught him. Since then, Paul has been credited with saving Rey Mysterio’s life.

Speaking on IMPAULSIVE, Logan Paul addressed the situation. He noted that he may have saved Mysterio, but he almost might have killed him, too. Paul stated that they both made a mistake in the moment.

“I’m gonna come clean because I’ve seen all these positive headlines. ‘Logan saved Rey Mysterio.’ The Mexican community is going crazy, saying I’m sort of…what’s hero in Spanish? I’m some sort of sicario,” Logan Paul said. “So I’m like dang, I’m being recognized for doing something cool? I’ll take it. But then I looked at the clip, and upon assessing my performance, while I think I did save Rey Mysterio, I think I also almost killed Rey Mysterio.

“I think I was too far back for the move, and I think he didn’t clear enough ground for the move. That’s what happened. I was too far back, and he didn’t clear enough ground. We both I think made a mistake, and I had to catch him. I had to catch him, and I wasn’t gonna not catch him. Truthfully, while I like the headlines and being gassed up like this, I was just going my job. But I’ll take it. I’ll take the praise.”
