Kurt Angle Confirms He Will Have Neck Surgery In 2024

Kurt Angle says he will have neck surgery in 2024 due to his motor skill problems.

Speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, the WWE Hall of Famer was asked whether he would get back into the drums. He noted that he has motor skill problems, and the legend confirmed that he will undergo neck surgery next year.

“Yes, I am. I’m not gonna lie to you, I’m gonna really suck at the beginning because my fingers, I have a lot of motor skill problems,” Kurt Angle said. “But just so you know, I’m having neck surgery. The beginning of next year, they’re gonna put in artificial disc replacements. It’s gonna help [my hands] because I can’t really grab things. Things always slip out of my hands and fall. I have horrible motor skills.

“They said my arms, because they atrophied three inches each. I don’t have any muscle here [between my thumb and my fingers]. There’s supposed to be muscle there, but it deteriorated, it atrophied. When I get these rubber discs, they’re gonna open up my nerves so they can go down my arms, so I’ll have better circulation.”

Kurt Angle retired from the ring at WWE WrestleMania 35 in 2019, but he continues to deal with problems. He has had multiple surgeries over the years. In September, Angle said he was set to have shoulder replacement surgery.
