MJF Name-Drops Cody Rhodes, Set To Compete On 12/6 AEW Dynamite

MJF addresses his status and praises Samoa Joe.

During the November 29 episode of AEW Dynamite, AEW World Champion MJF appeared in the ring and addressed his Worlds End challenger Samoa Joe. MJF spent the majority of his promo recalling Joe’s impact on pro wrestling, especially during his time in an alternative like TNA Wrestling. MJF noted that alternatives matter and thanked Joe for what he has done in that regard.

MJF then went on to state that he will be a fighting champion at Worlds End on December 30 despite his current injuries. He also named a number of competitors that he has defeated during his time in AEW including Cody Rhodes and CM Punk specifically.

After wrapping things up, the lights went off and came back on to reveal several of The Devil’s henchmen holding MJF down while another masked man had a bat in hand. Before they could truly attack, Samoa Joe ran down to clear out the ring. A message then displayed on the tron challenging MJF and Joe to take on two mystery opponents on next week’s Dynamite.

As it stands, MJF will compete on December 6 despite getting banged up at AEW Full Gear. He previously posted and deleted that he has a torn labrum in his left shoulder but plans to defend his title at Worlds End as advertised. Fightful also noted that MJF is hoping to undergo treatments in order to avoid surgery.

WrestleZone will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
