Bully Ray might be on to something here.
AEW’s Devil storyline has been slowly unfolding for several weeks, and fans keep trying to guess who is under the mask. Several names have been suggested, including Adam Cole, Britt Baker, CM Punk and even MJF himself.
Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite saw MJF get attacked by the Devil and his masked minions. In response, many fans said this must mean MJF is not the Devil.
However, Bully Ray made a good point about why MJF could still be in the running:
“To all of you “smart” fans who have ruled MJF out as being the devil just because we saw him get beat down tonight… Remember… I got my ass kicked at my own wedding just so you wouldnt think it was me,” Bully wrote on his Twittah machine. “And you ALL fell for it.”
Bully Ray is referencing the infamous Aces & Eights angle from IMPACT Wrestling. Bully was attacked at his on-air wedding to Brooke Hogan. A few months later, Bully revealed himself as the leader of the stable.
