CM Punk made an appearance at WWE NXT Deadline, and two reports provide more information about the situation.
Since CM Punk returned to WWE at WWE Survivor Series, the former world champion has appeared on both RAW and SmackDown. Over the weekend, he teased that he would speak with NXT’s Shawn Michaels. Punk then appeared live at NXT Deadline and shared a moment with Michaels in the ring. He teased signing with NXT, but fans will have to wait until Monday Night RAW for Punk’s decision about which brand he will sign with.
Nick Hausman of Haus of Wrestling reports that Punk was described as being “great around everyone” backstage at the show. Punk’s interactions with WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H, who was also in attendance, were said to be “legit” very good as well. The report also notes that sources continue to indicate that Punk has seemed very happy since his return.
Additionally, Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that CM Punk’s NXT Deadline appearance was pitched Friday at the WWE SmackDown taping. Per Johnson, Punk was not hidden backstage, and he was available to NXT talent throughout his time at the venue.
