Marshall Von Erich Claims Being a Von Erich Is Not Easy Nowadays

Marshall Von Erich is one of the rising stars in the world of professional wrestling. He is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Von Erich. Marshall along with his brother Ross Von Erich have been a tag team who had competed in a plethora of promotions. They have worked together in NOAH, IMPACT Wrestling, MLW, and many more.

Recently Marshall and his brother Ross Von Erich were special guests on the Busted Open Radio podcast. During the episode, both Marshall and Ross opened up about the difficulties they have faced representing a legendary family name in professional wrestling.

“Obviously [it’s hard to be a Von Erich], you have people thinking that you’re trying to be better than your family but we’re just playing the hand we’re dealt. We’re just trying to make my father proud and my family proud,” Marshall Von Erich said. [H/T Wrestling Inc.

Ross Von Erich pointed out that fans certainly see the high points but never see us in the lowest of lows.

“Wrestling has kicked our ass and it’ll humble you real quick. People see the high points of our career but they don’t see scrubbing piss off the dojo in Japan,” Ross Von Erich added.

Marshall Von Erich claims the Iron Claw movie premiere was nerve-wracking

While speaking on the same episode, Marshall Von Erich shared his family’s experience of watching the Iron Claw film.

“It was nerve-wracking going into the premiere as a family. We all went over there — my sisters had a harder time, and my mom — there were just so many question marks. And my dad was like, ‘If anything, they’ll Google the real story, and I’ll talk to them.’ But we ended up watching it, and it’s based on a true story, so there’s a few chronological inconsistencies. But there was one part in the movie that my dad told us in confidence. I don’t think he ever told anybody in an interview or anything — of a dream he had after my uncle Kerry passed that was so heavy that we almost had to leave the movie theater. My dad was like — he couldn’t believe that it was in there,” Marshall Von Erich said. [H/T Wrestling Inc.]

The Von Erichs are set to compete on AEW Rampage this Friday night.
