Matt Riddle Would Love To Wrestle Kenny Omega, Wants To Compete In Japan

Matt Riddle plans to have a big 2024 when it comes to the world of professional wrestling.

Former WWE Superstar Matt Riddle recently spoke with MuscleManMalcolm. When asked if he’d have any interest in having a boxing match with Jake Paul, Riddle said he’d prefer it to be an MMA fight.

“Boxing match? I mean, yeah, I’d do anything for some money,” Matt Riddle said with a laugh. “But, I’d prefer doing a mixed martial arts fight. But yeah, boxing, whatever, kickboxing, Muay Thai, whatever, I’ll fight anybody anytime.”

When asked what his next move is in pro wrestling following the expiration of his WWE non-compete, Riddle confirmed that he’s gonna keep at it and teased competing in Japan in 2024.

“I would say I’m going to keep wrestling. I’m really good at it,” Matt Riddle said. “Just keep doing that. Probably just go do some things I’ve never done before. I’ve never wrestled in Japan, so I think that’s on the bucket list in 2024, amongst other things.”

When asked if there are any dream opponents out there he hasn’t been able to wrestle yet, Riddle pointed to All Elite Wrestling’s Kenny Omega, but acknowledged that he’s currently out hurt.

“I don’t know, [Kenny Omega]’s hurt now, I saw that, indefinitely. That was sad,” Matt Riddle said. “I really wanted to wrestle him, and I figured with my release, that could have been an opportunity. But now it’s not, so…yeah, I’m excited. There’s tons of opponents out there.”
