New ROH World Tag Team Champions Crowned On AEW Dynamite, Samoa Joe Turns On MJF

New champions have been crowned.

The main event of AEW Dynamite on December 27 was slated to be MJF and Samoa Joe defending the ROH World Tag Team Championship against The Devil’s Masked Men, however Joe was laid out backstage before he could make it to the ring.

Nevertheless, MJF defended the tag titles alone but was not able to withstand the masked duo. Ultimately, The Devil’s Masked Men defeated MJF after one of them connected with Heatseeker for the pinfall.

The new champions and two other masked attackers then beat down MJF in the middle of the ring. Samoa Joe hobbled down with a chair in hand and chased them off. As MJF made it to his feet, a message from The Devil appeared on the tron reading, “Pleasure doing with business with you.” Joe then struck MJF in the back with the chair.

While it remains to be seen if Samoa Joe is indeed The Devil, it seems he has been working with the entity ahead of challenging MJF at AEW Worlds End this Saturday.
