Enzo Amore Responds To Speculation About Being At AEW Worlds End PPV

For the past couple of weeks, there have been several rumors that former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore was going to make his AEW debut at the Jacksonville-based promotion’s final pay-per-view of 2023, World’s End. The former WWE Superstar recently addressed these speculations.

There are several reasons for the fans to assume that Amore was going to be making an appearance at AEW World’s End. The current AEW World Tag Team Champions are Big Bill and Ricky Starks. Bill is a former WWE Superstar. His tag team partner during the Stamford-based promotion was Enzo Amore. Prior to parting ways with the promotion Big Bill turned on his friend and tag team partner Amore.

Also a couple of weeks ago, Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho referred to Bill’s run in WWE by calling him SAWFT. Jericho also compared Ricky Starks to Enzo Amore.

Bill and Starks were supposed to defend their titles against Jericho and Omega. Unfortunately due to Omega’s unexpected medical emergency, The Ocho is left without a partner. Thus people believed that Amore would be replacing Omega.

During a virtual signing at the K & S WrestleFest, Amore addressed these speculations.

“Would I? That is definitely something that is not in the cards right now because I am a free agent. I don’t know what the deal is over there, I don’t know who is doing what, who has the pencil, I don’t know who is wrestling who. I just know that I’m damn proud of Big Bill holding the tag team titles. The last thing I would ever want to do is break his leg and take it away from him. I love that guy. I’m pulling for him, I’m rooting for him,” Enzo Amore said. [H/T WebIsJericho]

Sammy Guevara returned and reunited with Chris Jericho on Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite. Jericho, Guevara, Sting and Darby Allin will team against Big Bill, Ricky Starks, Kyle Fletcher and Powerhouse Hobbs at AEW Worlds End.
