Let the speculation begin.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that, per WWE sources, the company is very close to landing a former WWE Champion to appear on the January 1 episode of WWE RAW. The sources expressed their confidence about WWE’s ability to get the deal done. Per Sapp, a specific name has not been shared, but it was said to be someone not currently on the roster.
Sapp writes that it was not clear whether the name was an active or retired talent. WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
