Samoa Joe: Shout Out Your Favorite Wrestler’s Name, I’ll Whip Their Ass

Samoa Joe doesn’t care who it is, he’ll put them down.

New AEW World Champion Samoa Joe took part in the AEW Worlds End media scrum to discuss his big title win. Joe was asked who he was looking forward to facing as champion, and he had quite the answer for the gallery.

“I’ll whip Hangman Adam Page’s ass any day of the damn week. Swerve can get it, sure. Who’s your favorite? Go ahead, shout out their name, I’ll whip their ass,” Samoa Joe said. “Y’all think this is going to be, ‘Oh, I want this guy, I want that guy…’ — I’ll take them all. A lot of loud mouths, a lot of dudes talking a lot of stuff. Hey, you can do that stuff on Twitter, but come bring that shit to my face, see what happens. That’s the funny part, everybody is starting fights around here, but nobody starts a fight with me. Come fight me.”

We’re gonna go out with a bang

Samoa Joe was asked about how long he plans to wrestle during an interview with Adrian Hernandez. Specifically, Joe was asked if he plans to work until his body tells him he can’t.

“I’ll probably stop well before then,” Joe said. “I’ve been really, really fortunate. When I came off the concussion, I took two years off to really get everything back into order, and in that time too, just in the recovery process, really changed a lot around in my training and changed a lot of things around that have benefited me to a great amount health-wise. I feel good right now.

“As far as where the train will end, I’ll let it play out a little bit more. But I will say this, I definitely have more than a handful of good years left in me. Beyond that, I’m excited. If we are gonna out, we’re gonna go out with a bang. So it’ll be interesting to see how these next few years play out.”
